1. Routine maintenance of direct reading spectrometer
The spectral analysis method also has shortcomings. It is an empirical analysis method: its sample composition, structural state, and excitation conditions are difficult to completely control, and a set of corresponding standard samples are required for matching. The influence itself is relatively large, which has a certain impact on its accuracy. This requires special attention to do normal management and maintenance work to keep the instrument in good condition. After a long period of practice, we have concluded the following effective management methods.
1) Maintenance and inspection of the argon gas supply every 12 hours; clean the spark table; verify the standard sample every 2 hours; check the quality of the excited spots.
2) Weekly maintenance and cleaning of waste argon gas outlets; replacement of filtered water in waste argon filters; standardization of instruments.
3) Monthly maintenance of clean air filters; replacement of analytical electrodes.
4) Quartz windows are maintained and cleaned every quarter;
5) Other maintenance (scheduled) check the traces; replace the argon purification tube; clean the vacuum chamber lens.
2. Failure and maintenance of direct reading spectrometer
Summarize the faults and solutions that are seen. There are three main points.
2.1 The sample is not excited
1) The indicator of EK9009 high voltage integration board is off. First check whether the power supply (198V, 24V) of the light source voltage regulator is normal, and check the 2.4V 3.5A fuse. If the light source voltage regulator is unstable, it must be replaced; if the light source voltage regulator is normal, check the silicon full bridge and 2.5A fuse on the EK9009 high voltage integration board. If the silicon full bridge is broken, the high voltage integration board must be replaced.
2) The door switch below the sample excitation stage is turned off. This is a protective proximity switch. When the door is closed, the switch is closed so that the machine can operate normally. Sometimes the door is not fully closed or the switch is damaged, that is, the door switch is disconnected, which will cause the entire machine to malfunction. If the proximity switch is damaged and there are no spare parts to replace temporarily, you can cut and connect the two wires connected to the switch to ensure normal work first, and then replace them after having the parts.
2.2 The spark bench protection is out of control. The fault is due to the short circuit caused by the end of the metal. The insulation sheet of the spark bench can be cleaned and then it can be excited normally.
2.3 Excited spots are abnormal (with abnormal sound and analysis data)
1) Gas flow rate and purity: The net flow rate should be O.SL/min, the pressure should be greater than 0.5MPa, the purity of hydrogen gas should be greater than 99.999%, and the argon gas cylinder should be replaced when the pressure is less than 1MPa.
2) The airtightness of the spark table panel, that is, the tightness of the spark chamber.
3) If the sample has trachoma, shrinkage holes, cracks, water, the cover hole is not tight, or there is a foreign body, the sample cannot be excited normally.
4) Poor contact of 24V contactor will also cause abnormal sample excitation.
